Tim Walsh, a lifelong resident of Bergen County, is a dedicated public servant and community leader who is the 2026 Republican candidate for Bergen County

Tim decided to pursue the office of County Clerk to restore order, competence, and trust to the office. With a strong background as a paralegal and consultant, Tim understands the importance of precision, accountability, and efficient administration, qualities the Clerk’s office has lacked in recent years. Misprinted ballots, misdelivered ballots, and mishandled vote-by-mail applications have undermined trust in our electoral process, and that trust can only be restored by implementing rigorous safeguards and ordering a comprehensive audit of all internal procedures. Through these measures, Tim aims to foster an atmosphere of transparency and credibility, ensuring that the Clerk’s office serves the taxpayers of Bergen County with the professionalism and reliability they deserve.

A proud alumnus of Don Bosco Preparatory High School and Montclair State University, Tim has deep roots in the community. He is an active member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Ramsey and has previously served as a member of the Ramsey Environmental Commission and as a high school football coach. His leadership experience includes serving as Chairman of the Bergen County Young Republicans and Vice Chair of the Young Republican Federation of New Jersey, where he has honed his skills in organization, advocacy, and bringing people together for common goals.

Tim believes the County Clerk’s office should be a model of integrity and excellence. By drawing on his local knowledge, professional expertise, and proven commitment to service, he will work tirelessly to deliver fair, accurate, and accessible elections and administrative services for every resident of Bergen County.
